I would suppose that if they were also against the rules of the place that is hosting them you would complain to them. If not then what you would be told is, if you don't like what's going on then leave the community. I have seen hosts tell people that it's there page and if you don't like what they are doing or posting then don't read it(but way nastier than what I wrote).
Yeah, that's pretty much what I figured, just... I feel sorry for the poor bugger that's getting flamed by one of the four moderators (at least one). Being someone that runs communities myself, are we not the people that are supposed to protect our community members from this. It's a real shame, and another nail in the coffin as far as my continued participation in that community is concerned.
All I was going to do was to drop the mod a PM to give them a heads up that this was happening, in clear violation of their own rules, and I saw that this one mod was one of the main culprits, so I didn't yet send the PM.
Are we not all adults here? (I'm reminded of the part in Night at the Museum where the monkey is slapping Larry and he's slapping it back, only to have the President stop him, and stop his protest with the question "Who's evolved?") Can we not disagree with one another without sinking to the level of schoolyard bullies?
I'm on a site that some of the Mod’s are so nasty that they actually make fun of people that don't speak English as a first language, so I know what you're talking about and some of us are adults but some of us like the power and weight they can throw around with out a thought to other people's feelings
I somehow think you can't get away from the bullies; they do grow up and become bigger bullies. The only thing that doesn't evolve in them is their pea-sized brain. Some learn to grow out of it and quite a few just learn to be nastier as adults.
I got caught is a few of the snits, so now I just read the blog, don't ask questions and try not to get too pissed off at what goes on when the snits keep going. Usually the group owner steps in at that time and that is a though, if the person is not the owner and just a Mod, you could speak privately to the owner and point out that there is a problem that they need to address?

I'm saddened... truly.
