I am... incredibly nervous about tomorrow's show and in many ways, though I have waited a long time for it, I'm not sure I want to know how badly they are going to mess with the development of characters - relationships - events... At this stage, I am most ambivalent...

The season is looking VERY good, so don't despair...

Michael's bits are funny.

In Search And Rescue, I mean.

And the scenes, not his bits.

It's not the season I worry about...

...you see... Michael's 'bits' are not /supposed/ to be funny... and from what little I already know there are a couple of things I /so/ disagree with it's not even cricket.

Oh, please elaborate once you're seen the episode!

It's time for me to go to bed, as the bus leaves at 7, and it's 11 right now... Gotta get up at around 5.30ish... :S

Oh, and I'm known for laughing at inappropriate times sometimes, so... Yeah, that makes Michael's scenes funny. But you just know that things will go wrong for him in this ep, so...

Man, Ark Of Truth arrived today. It's SOOOO good! And I managed to watch Common Ground as well. ^^

Enjoy your vacation. I'll be sure to post once I've seen it. I thought Ark of Truth was okay... same old-same old-SG1... but they put me off when they started messing with the Arthuriad. There are some things that are sacred, you know?

All I'll say at this point is that I must be the only person in Christendom that didn't much care for it.

You think yours is better? Lol!

How's Act I of Episode 2 going?

And... I'm back from my hols now, of course. ^^

Lots of trees in the black forest, and lil towns, some individual houses on the mountains, etc...

Not too much to see.

It's not about thinking mine is better - I don't necessarily think that - just that I didn't like... well many things.

The way that things were written between M/T for example.
The sudden apparent loss of control of his hybrids by Michael.
The birth scene was just... *words fail*

But I'll get over it.

I just realised I didn't answer you about Episode 2. I have about 6 pages written, of act 1 - the damn thing is evolving however, and doesn't look much like the original projection. This is not necessarily a bad thing, just mean... knock on effects and all that.

Still, I'm about to travel to the US... so I'll be a captive 'writer' for about 8 hours...

Um... Excuse me? Jumping around and raising hand.. Hello? Where was I when you took this census through all of Christendom? ;)

And um.. his bits weren't much in the show for all the images from the rear! lol Sorry. :)

I will say that it wasn't half as bad as I was dreading it would be. Not as good as I hoped it would be, but I think I've gotten used to Atlantian writing by now... I just accept the worst, expect worse than the worst and settle for "it didn't make me turn it off". :)

...If you don't mind me butting in on your conversation, that is. ;)

Yay... glad you've joined in the discussion/conversation. I was hoping you would. :)

*chuckle* No, Michael's bits apparently take second place to his rear. I still think either the director or camera man must have had a thing for Connor's behind. :)

I guess I was maybe holding out too much hope that the writers would realise things about Michael, and actually write the episode differently than they did. Like you say, though, it could have been a lot worse than it was.

I read today that Bob Picardo is challenging Trek fans to give him three episodes (i.e. watch him in 3 eps) or SGA so that he can convert them to fans of Atlantis. Tall order Bob.

You can find the interview here (http://www.gateworld.net/news/2008/07/picardo_challenges_trek_fans_giv.shtml) if you want to read it at all.

I'm sorry, I may watch loyally because I am friend or fan of someone acting on a show, but that doesn't mean I can be converted to being a /fan/ of the show itself. I will watch it to keep up with what's being said about people.. but unless someone is on it and I miss /them/ I don't cry over missed episodes.

And I hardly watch Atlantis as it is. I have to remember to shut up and listen to Michael's episodes or I'll talk right over him.. which is what I did the last time.. and then missed the second showing. :p

Bad ABC for not rerunning it sunday morning. :p

I thought it was either incredibly brave of Picardo, or incredibly foolish... but then... *shrug*

I have it saved onto the laptop... so you will get to see it again. Hopefully you won't mind watching Atlantis with me. :) I want to watch some Enterprise, DS9 and TOS with you as well though. And X-Files, and Dark Angel, and... and... and...

*Gasp*

*Has Dark Angel taped, except for Gill Girl - I accidentally forgot to tape that, dang them for broadcasting it at 11.30 at night - got The X-Files all on dvd - still need to watch Enterprise, and many other things...*

:D

Yay! We got more shows in common! *g*

Good luck with the writing! If you're lucky, you'll have completed Act I in the plane? That would be great. If you got an estimate by when, just mail it over, ok? ^^

And dang, a mutating story. *g*

We do seem to have some other things in common, yes. Btw.. could you email me again so that I have your email address here for when I have finished act 1 of CoC. I forgot to copy it to the laptop before I left. Silly me.
