...people sticking around after we leave? The world doesn't stop just because we aren't around and if any of our people said something to any of their people they could always @emit. Or maybe that's why this bothers me so much... because I feel like we're the only group that does that... and feel like we're expected to do that.

Yeah okay so we didn't sleep well... got out of the wrong side of the bed, or something like that, but it /is/ a valid question - look at the logs for the evidence. Or maybe it's because all the other guys are reasonably together so if anything /does/ happen they can always talk about it - solidly talk I mean.

Or maybe I'm just feeling the distance today.

You bring up a good point ... and no, the world doesn't stop when you leave. It's a question I've asked myself many times regarding Vega too. And I'm sure people logging off all in rapid succession leave Beta feeling a bit unwanted.

It's a sticky situation.

Sticky, yes. However..

There are many who are simply going to bed with their loved ones.. There are some who only come out at certain times of the day. And as the castle is more of a place to vacation, most actually go 'home' for their evenings with family and friends.

And once you come to the reality of it, chores have to be done, dinner should be eaten and Gargoyles must be taped, along with the many other things that come with life itself.

So you see, it isn't a matter of leaving because you leave, it's a matter of being on because you're on. There are rare occasions when life doesn't get in the way.

I think it also has to do with a certain someone running from Elves...
