Me time...

There were some things I needed at the bookstore - of course the bookstore (Borders as it happens) didn't have what I wanted, but... *shrug* Going there gave me time to spend by myself in my little car... and what a big adventure we had. :)

I /hate/ Fosse Park, but when Borders didn't have one of the things I wanted, I spend time going across the way to Fosse Park, to try and find the WHSmith's there. Never did find it, and also came out of Fosse Park going completely the wrong way, heading for the motorway. Rather than swing round the roundabout and come back the way I'd come, I decided to take the 'long way' home - so I joined the motorway, went up one exit and came off on the A46. This gave me a chance to see how well my car can run. He was just fine :) I'm proud of him... and of me, for my first time on an English Motorway. Of course I've driven on the Interstates in the US, but still... I now feel better about the possibility of driving Brewi.i to the airport.

Nice one on taking the motorway->A46. I'm really not keen on motorway driving ... I'm having to force myself to get some practice in, as I've only been on the M1 once (29 miles @ 6:30am on a Saturday morning!), and J21 is literally minutes from my house !!

I love driving. I never thought I would, but I do. Not particularly in rush hour traffic though. It doesn't stress me though, just takes away the joy of it, if you see what I mean.
