Misplaced Loyalties
Nov. 3rd, 2011 01:08 amFrom The Book of Awakening: Having the Life You Want by Being Present to the Life You Have.
Humbly and unavoidably, the need for truth will lead us into the unexpected living of our lives beyond all images of perfection.
I have this strange notion of loyalty or something it seems, that I've hung onto for a week too long and finally, today decided enough is enough. I like TP… I like the people, and all they've done in the past, but they're just not getting enough work in to sustain all their staff working full time, so today, I sent my CV out to about 7 or 8 other places, not to mention applied for two other temporary positions directly with schools, (Wednesday is the day Leicestershire get their job ads printed and all that). Barely an hour later, one of the places called back, and tomorrow I will go in to see them… get the ball rolling for them to also be looking – more irons in the fire, as they say.
Still waiting for the GTC to give me my new membership card, I have to be a GTC member to be allowed to teach, and I also have to pay for that privilege – which is a whole other kettle of fish, and one I don't really feel like going into right now. Needless to say, right at the moment, my life is way beyond any image of perfection that /I/ might have!
I take a wolf's rib and whittle
it sharp at both ends
and freeze it in blubber and place it out on the fairway of the bears.
And when it has vanished
I move out on the bear tracks,
roaming in circles
for days.
