Foolish Wisdom

...I realised that I was already wise, I just didn't know the language of my wisdom.
Wicca is supposed to be the path of the wise... but there are so many of us out there – and yes, I include myself – who do not hear the wisdom in ourselves because the language of it is foreign to us. And what we cannot hear, we cannot demonstrate... and what we cannot demonstrate remains within us, as inaccessible as if it were not there at all.
There are a couple of things come to mind as I type those thoughts. The first is the thought that there is no barrier to learning, growing wise and understanding so impenetrable as knowing something. You 'know' something with the wrong side of your head, and only with your head. To be wise about something, to understand something comes from the heart as well.
The other is that often children and fools are the wisest of all. They look at the world untainted by preconceived ideas and inhibitions. We should all take some time at least to be childlike, and 'foolish.'
Forget about enlightenment
Sit down wherever you are
And listen to the wind singing in your veins
