Please can we have more..?

cedar_groveWoke this morning to snow laying on the ground. Not much, certainly not enough to do more than make driving dangerous. My morning drive to work was plagued by an idiot in a Volvo who obviously thought he was psychic or had X-ray vision enough to see through the house to determine whether my passage onto the main road was clear or not - which it wasn't. I didn't want him behind me, so I pulled over to the side so that he could pass, which he did straight away without looking and almost ran head on into a car coming the other way. Fool! He'll cause an accident one of these days.
First day back was painless, except for the usual kids. They're going to really have to knuckle down in they want to keep up with everyone else. We rearranged the room so that we could have space in the middle for more active learning. The afternoon was purgatory because, having snowed and being so cold the kids were kept in all day with no way to run off their crazies.
Otherwise I spent much of the day thinking about Mir's Aunt Thelma, who recently passed. Thinking about the last time we saw her, and sharing that meal with her in which I realised how much I like squash. She always made me feel warm and welcomed, and reminded me of my Grandmother, and though I didn't know her all that well, my life was enriched by being touched by hers and I'll miss her.
Didn't do much once I got home, more work, and then just pottered around on the internet. Still trying to organise getting mum and me a Wii so we can work out together on the Fit. I really do need to get into shape and it's a fun way to do that.
Hoping for more snow overnight.
