Well no, actually it's very good, but I've spent almost the entire weekend downloading sample books. Seriously, if you haven't discovered it yet, you should. Just go to Amazon, and click on the Kindle link. Download the Kindle for PC, and then get downloading the free samples. Never /ever/ buy a book you don't like again!

The only think I've found annoying so far is that due to copyright issues sometimes in the UK you can't get certain books... but... I guess that's something I can live with for now.

Online books have made me very happy over the years when I was doing research for papers, even if most of those were through some web browser applet. And I've been saying for a while that I think ebooks and ereaders of the physical variety really ought to save the academic journal industry some printing costs.

I'm not sure I want to read novels like that yet, though...

The only reason I got it was originally that I wanted to read a book on Poe's life before I went and saw the play, so I put one on the computer to read on the plane 'cause I had /no/ time to go and get one before the flight.

I don't want the handheld reader, even though it does read out loud, I think... But I /do/ like being able to sample the books before I get them. When you're trying to expand beyond what you typically read, it's not a bad thing. And I'm online all the time anyway, so why not read while I wait for stuff. :)
