Not that long this time...

Safe journey if I don't hear from you again.

***

I should have seen the miscarry-part coming. Or perhaps I was expecting it to happen off-screen. Silly Alicia going to meddle again with things that are not her concern. But it wouldn’t be human, I guess, to just keep walking…

Is Isla sitting there from about right after her visit with the Second, then? Because she still carries the knife with her…

"An individual among us shirking her duties?" Taevun said. "Perhaps this is her reward for it. She—"

Son-of-a-bitch, if I ever get my hands on him, I’ll kill him myself… But I guess he’s been taken proper care of.

Oh, now that I think of that… Does the Queen know the Hive Second GoL’ed his ‘concubine’? Will she get punished for that, or does the Queen know he did it to kill the baby? Or at least that’s the consequence of it. Oh, and he did it again later on…

Poor Second, oozing his enzyme onto Alicia’s chest like that. His hand is screaming ‘yummy, lemme have’ at him, but the good boy is able to resist. Lol. It’s the Wraith version of a ‘wet dream’, but he had his while being wide awake. I could ask if enzyme leaves stains on the dress, but since later on Hanna’s gets shredded, I take it they have a closet filled with those dresses? I mean, each time Hanna and the Hive Commander get busy, her dress probably dies, so…

Hmm, something that struck me just now… In the AU, Todd gave Sheppard some strength with the help of the GoL, but who said Sheppard wasn’t in one go infected with the Hoffan drug, too? I mean, shouldn’t he perhaps have dropped dead? Not what I want that to happen…

Is Todd not yet wondering why, or how, rather, Michael can have infected Sheppard with a retrovirus if Michael currently, and for a long while already (months?), I think, is located on the Elder Hive? That together with a different, a wrong shaped strand showing up in Sheppard’s blood…

LOL @ the Commander thinking it’s his Queen the Second is hissing for… Idiot still doesn’t get it. If Michael doesn’t want to, she’s more bound to pick her Second than him…

Hey, wait… How is Hanna doing? Did she ‘serve’ him more than once in meanwhile? I mean, if the Commander thinks he’s getting the Queen very, very soon, perhaps he’s saving his energy a bit, or something… Can’t be standing dry when the Queen wants your boys! Or rather your girl…

Edit: well, the answer is yes, and nope.

"Then… I have another task that I demand of you, Commander," she purred.

Does that mean she gave up on Michael, and is moving on, looking further now? Will we be seeing his new ‘mission’, or whatever you want to call that, later on?

Lol, if he was ‘the one’, and Alicia and Hanna were to assist the Queen around that time, perhaps, once he finishes with the Queen, he’ll jump on Alicia! Hah. Okay, enough jumping.

…she reached behind her to run her fingers through his hair.

Eep… Did she get them back? Because I’m thinking stuff can go missing in that mop of his…

Thanks, you have a safe trip too, and enjoy your vacation. :)

**

Why do you say you should ahve seen the miscarrying part coming? And yeah, you just /know/ Alicia is going to get herself into trouble.

Isla has not exactly been sitting there, no, but she hasn't been anywhere to get rid of the knife just then.

Yeah Taevun was a nasty piece of work. I only hope he tasted better than he behaved. :)

The Elder Queen has no idea what the Second did with his servant, no... nor really is she that interested. She's a little insane you know?

You have to wonder at /why/ the Second has such a strong response to Alicia...

Who says that AU Todd hasn't developed some way to be immune to the problems of feeding on infected Humans. He's with Au Alicia after all.

You have to take it as read that off-camera as it were, Todd was told that Shep and co ended up in an alternate reality wnere the Michael from there infected Shep.

The Hive Commander is an idiot, yes.

What's that about Hanna now?

Nope, as you'll see in act 3 the queen has not given up on Michael. (or was it act 4 - either way you'll see.)

Wait a minute, you want the Hive Second to jump Alicia? Funny that...

Awww, c'mon, Todd's hair is not /that/ tangled.

Interesting bit of Wraith Matriarch history there. Did he save her? No wait, didn’t I already ask that same thing somewhere?

Pity they aren’t making a movie out of all this Wraith stripping. *Reads ‘Malcolm’ stripping once more*

Did you know that stripping sounds like ripping? You never know if he rips off his own clothes.

/Thunk/

Awe, he’s such a lovable thing at times, taking care of the girl! *g*

Todd and Keller, what can I say? You know I hate that part. I mean, I’m here for my newfound pairing, and then you get that served as an ‘extra’. And I really didn’t want that to be an extra. We don’t know for sure yet what he did or didn’t do, perhaps, because maybe he can make her think they did it with his mind… You never know. Though I’m probably in denial. I really want it not to have happened, as I don’t like infidelity fics (hey, I consider Todd to be with Alicia already) and definitely not when I haven’t chosen to read it, when I’m not in the mood for it. I kinda hope we’re already ‘past’ that thing, though. I think you said I wasn’t gonna like Act 2, but it gets better again, now?

Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha @ Michael having taken precautions against knocking her up. Lol. Payback’s a bitch, so is she, and Michael’s just better.

Lol @ the Queen being breathless and semi-conscious on the bed… And all for nothing. Ha! If he’s not even properly motivated and he can do that, then ‘poor’ Teyla must be in for a nice ride! Er… Did I say that correctly? :o

"The Hive Commander is an ineffectual fool.

I don’t know if you know it yet, but you have a new word, and it pops up every other page all of a sudden. ^^

Poor sod, that Hive Commander, skipped again… He must really be pissed. I mean, how many Queens did he make starting from Michael’s and Malcolm’s arrival on the Hive? If everybody used that trick, not that many! Haha!

I’m thinking that reward that the Second wants to give Michael is a negative one? ^^

"Mine," he snarled, *snip* "She is mine."

Well then, at least there’s *one* Wraith aboard that Hive that uses his Handmaiden the way he should. Of course, it’s also the biggest idiot… Lol.

"But he's treating you… okay, right? With respect?"

Sure, sure…

Breathing in deeply he could tell that she had recently been here. Her scent was unique. It warmed him at once.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh! So cute, that it warms him up. He doesn’t even seem to be distracted by what ‘happened’ with Keller earlier on. Don’t know if that’s a good thing or not… Though of course I prefer him to be focussed on Alicia. If only I could cut that thing out… :(

Oh, we’re at full!Wraith!Michael… Yay! Then it’s almost reversing-time again. :S

Neat @ the two boys finding the solutions to their problems, or questions, at the same time. Nice way to end Act 2.

***

Gots to go packing some further, or rather putting stuff ready.

Spikey

I don't know whether you asked that before or not, but I think my answer this time is going to be 'wait and see.'

You want a movie of Wraith, stripping?

Lovable? Who's loveable? The Hive Second? Boy are /you/ in for a shock if that's what you think. Loveable and Hive Second certainly do not go together.

Right - deep breath - Todd and Keller. All this talk of 'pairings' and 'extras' and - excuse me - infidelity? Lets look at the social structure of the Wraith Hierarchy for a minute shall we, and lets underline the word, Wraith.

Queen - commanders - Sub-c's - drones. How many females there in that list?

Todd, as a Commander (and a fertile one at that), is beholden to the Elder Queen. The Queen sent Vega to him for the purposes of sexual favours, but she coulda sent anyone... or no one at all - her choice, his instinct to act or not to act... and there's a hell of a lot of instinct going on here, what with the EQ being in season/on heat, and her pheromones flying around all over the place.

Todd's WRAITH. He's not with anyone. Relationships of the kind you're talking about happen between Humans, Wraith don't /do/ that kind of thing - especially not with Humans. They might be totally devoted to their queen, but the QUeen's don't mind who they're shagging so long as they remember where their loyalties lie - so why the hell would a male Wraith, driven by the 'animal' instinct to mate be bothered either.

Very occasionally, you'll come across a Wraith that forms a kind of 'emotional' attachment to on of his Concubines, and very, /very/ rarely, you'll get a commander that actually /bonds/ with said concubine, but that doesn't suddenly give him a socio-cultural transplant, Wraith to Human sensibilities - no. The devotion might still be there, but the devotion is /deeper/ than just the animalistic act of mating... it's /mental/

So... no more talk of 'infidelity' since Wraith are not monogomous creatures. Jealous and possessive, yes, but not monogomous...

Just think about something you spotted earlier - it'll make you feel better.

Michael is a canny, clever hybrid, and he was a canny, clever Wraith too. Yep, Teyla's in for a real treat.

I have a new word? What word is that?

What do you mean about the HC being skipped again?

The Second's reward for Michael is definitely a negative one, yes.

Hive Commander/Hanna - hold that thought.

See... Todd is warmed by the thought of Vega's presence.

Yep, poor Michael... he's in so much trouble.

What makes you think what Todd and Michael saw on their respective screens where the solutions to their problems?

Have fun packing... I have to as well

He's full on, isn't he, that naughty BGTC? Wraith to the very 'n'th degree, though I feel so sorry for poor Keller. What a motherfucking bastard he really is (and I adore him :D).

Todd's definitely full on... and very naughty :) And very very much WRAITH, yes. He really did show his m/f true colours. LOL

Poor Keller? Oh boy...

Just thought I'd mention that I'm planning on updating the community prompts today when I get home from work. Let me know if you need me to do the banners as well. :)

Also, you might have already seen this, but Michelle (Seramercury and AR_Uhura) voted twice in Trek Blog, but left a comment as to her preferred vote, so that's the one I'll be counting. ;)

Ah, okay, so you're still doing stuff in July, or is that just because you knew I was travelling this weekend? Nope, I'm fine with the banners. Looking forward to doing them as a matter of fact, and I'll have plenty of time to do them too... SCHOOL'S OUT!!!!

I know Michelle. :) Okay, no problem with that, since you're the one who'll be doing the counting :) Just post the results and I'll do the banners. Actually I better go and vote too. LOL

No, July was yours--but I just realized there were no new prompts yet in July. So I'll get some up. :)

Good heavens! To say things are heating up is to say that a nuclear explosion flickered!

Ah, Todd. A full blooded Wraith, just as I thought. Buck up, Keller! You've got the best of the bunch!

Teasing aside... you've trully captured the variety of reactions a human would have to a Wraith, in particular, ahem... intimate stuff. I trully like how you differentiated the Wraith mentality from the human mentality. Our very reaction of: Todd, what about Alicia, you cad?--shows how well you capture the 'shock' of dealing with a non-human intelligent entity; and a very, very intelligent one at that.

As for the ending... I am itching to know what he had found. All this DNA, chromosome, RNA business is killing me, Cedar! :)

Please, no more Todd/Keller! I just got my season 5 boxset today and I just can't even look at Keller on the cover anymore. Pity, because I like Keller (admittingly more in the first half than second).

So, will there be more Ronon? I've been missing him. And Teyla? Been missing her as well.

*see this icon and despair not*

I promise you, the whole Todd/Keller thing is one /huge/ massive heap of Wraithiness on Todd's part. It is... a tragic part of a larger plot that will unfold through seasons 5 and 6 and into 7 (yes, 7)

There will indeed be more Ronon as he continues to search for the missing Teyla. We will discover Teyla's fate very close to the beginning of 'No Way Back' which is the story after Deliverance.
