Title: Enmity
Rating: R (mature readers)
Spoilers:Spoilers for S1-4, (specifically Michael (but who hasn't seen that by now?) and some episodes from the beginning of the official season 5
Summary: As the team continues to battle a powerful Wraith faction, Teyla wakes in the infirmary on Atlantis. She has no memory of what Michael has done to her; knows only one thing... he has her son. Upset by repeated attempts at debriefing, because she cannot - or will not, as certain expedition members insist - tell them what happened, what will she do when Woolsey pushes her too hard... too far?
Disclaimer:MGM own Stargate: Atlantis. This story is for entertainment purposes only and no revenue is being made from copyright material. No infrigement intended.

Act 1, Act 2 and Act 3 now available.

Author's Note: Only thing I really want to note here, for now at least, is that I thought long and hard about it, and finally made the decision to change the name of Teyla's son. This was done in order to create a little distance from the TV Season 5. Oh, and I should probably also give warning of a character death in this story.

Previous Episodes:
Harm's Way (1) and Chain of Command (2) can be accessed here.

First of all, poor Teyla for having been woken up so abruptly from such an ‘intense’ dream. I’m jealous, really. Who wouldn’t want to have a partner that can do that? Lol.

You described it as being irrational, but I don’t think that trying to cover yourself up while in bed and having people storm into the room is that strange.

I hope Teyla at least gave Woolsey a big bump on the back of his head. He deserves it. I mean, I get that he wants to protect Atlantis, and keeping a close eye on Teyla might be a good thing, but that’s not the way to do it. There’s a difference between treating someone like a human being, and doing what they prefer to do: treating her like she’s some kind of animal. Or a rabbit dog. Like she wouldn’t notice.

Oh, and:

"My son? To harm him would only make an enemy of me!"

*Watches Michael change his nappy*

Aaaawwww.

**

Nice fishing that Todd does, there. Stating that ‘his intelligence suggests’ that Teyla is back. I wonder what he would have done if let’s say this was Teyla’s first off-world mission after being held captive? Does he want to know how compromised she is, or what?

"It would mean so much less to sustain me."

Does he mean that it would be quicker, were he to feed on Shep? Lol!

“The only condition I impose is that, when we find him, we shall be the ones to deal with him.”

Awe! Todd wants Mikey all to himself. Thunk.

Can I join in? *g*

**

@ the part where Hollick says they didn’t find anything in Teyla’s quarters:

Were they expecting her to have written down her memories, or to have Michael stashed away in her room, somewhere? Snort. The vial/syringe isn’t gone, all she took was the pump, she told them as much, and they still think it’s necessary to search her quarters anyway. Nice.

Well, she actually did write something down, if I remember correctly? Some kind of diary? Did they find that, or does she write some Michael-related things in there? Hmm.

@ Hollick’s ‘speak clearly’ rant:

Man, the guy is indeed in Woolsey’s pocket, but he’s also losing it… Suggesting that Shep want to work with Todd because of what happened.

**

@ Vega thinking about Todd being fooled by the ‘desires of the Queen’:

Vega thinks the same things as me! Now, if only she were to make the next step and suggest herself as a more worthy candidate… Hehe.

Though I have, as yet, been unable to prevent the reversion. I believe, however, that I have isolated the gene cluster responsible. It is only a matter of time."

What is that one up to? He doesn’t *want* the hybrids to reverse into humans? He’s trying to make sure they don’t? Is that to find a way to somehow get to Michael, or heck, even something as strange as the Queen’s servants being stronger… Nah, that latter one doesn’t make sense. Silly boy.

Perhaps for flavour?

Did I miss a clue?

**

I said it before, and I’ll say it again. Your Ronon = luff.

I’m curious to how he’s going to respond should she go to Michael… Or, well… leave Atlantis.

It's taken me a little while to get around to answering these because I've been so busy writing, but here I am answering them now...

Poor Teyla? Having a dream like that... I don't think /I'd/ mind having a dream like that... okay /maybe/ not with Michael in it... but....

I guess you're right about it not being irrational.

LOL at the thought of Michael changing the nappy.

**

Todd is a very smart Wraith too... He's interested in Teyla because of the Queen's interest. I guess he's heard the 'rumours' and /maybe/ doesn't quite believe them.

Yep, he wants Michael to himself. As I discovered in Act 4, those two have a real... rivalry between them that borders on hatred.

**

Yes, Teyla keeps a diary... and that's all I'm going to say about that right now.

Hollick is definitely Woolsey's guy, and maybe has ideas of grandure...

**

Well... maybe Vega won't /have/ to suggest herself...

What is Todd up to? He's following the Queen's orders, and experimenting on the hybrids... the Why of it comes later... I don't think you missed any clues... and you're pretty close with one of your suggestions.

**

As far as Ronon goes, you'll get to see how he responds, to one or maybe both of those eventualities.

That 'poor Teyla' was of course written with a 'lucky girl' in the back of my mind. *g*

Thousands of light years apart, and still together, somehow. Awe! *Wants*

I wonder where Michael is keeping that child. I'd say definitely not on those, what was it, four Cruisers he had in this episode? Maybe in a facility?

**

Lol @ your 'as I discovered in Act 4...'

Your muse is bending you to her will. ;-)

**

Oh, it's a diary with secrets in it. *g*

**

That Vega thing. Yeah, I noticed that in the next Act. Awe!

*Watches Cedar go all o__0 on me* Yah, sick, remember? :P

I might not have missed a clue? Hmm... The 'getting to him' one seems the most probable to me. After all, he is in very close contact with his hybrids, so they might know where his facilities are, should Todd or the Queen be able to penetrate their minds, if they haven't already.

Just to make sure, these hybrids, they're not updated ones, right? Did he manage to do that yet? When will such a clue been given?

**

Well, it's out of Atlantis first, right?

Told you her quarters were bugged. I reread the scene in the other story, of course, so I could clearly envision what they were doing there. ^^

"…Please… Michael, I want…"

I guess now we know why she had to stop speaking *right* there? :P

One of her hands flailed out as though fending off some contact,

Lol, why did she do that, exactly? Was she trying to push Wraith Michael away? I recall it being the transition from one dream into the other one…

"All right, all right!" Sheppard couldn't stand to watch any longer.

There was nothing more on the tape, nothing significant, so if he thought he went all ‘stop it, stop it’ at a point where it wasn’t done yet, he’s only fooling himself. *g*

"Some of us don't quite see it that way,"

And now many times have they *seen* it, anyway?

she just needs help to access them and—"

-and if one method doesn’t work, we’ll be moving on to the next one and the next one, until finally we’ll just torture it out of her… What an a$$. Ronon will hopefully kill him before they get to that point.

**

"The dialling device was damaged some time ago and was never repaired,"

Dialling device = DHD? Both a Dart and a Puddle Jumper have DHD’s on board… No?

"When we are, 'through with him,' as you say, there will be very little left to identify, Ronon Dex."

"A little is all I need." Ronon rumbled softly.

On one hand, *gulp*, on the other, awww! See? So cute, that one.

**

-…Teyla-

Maybe that was part of that one little sentence he whispered to her, when he gave her the vial? The one we should all go ‘awww’ over?

It’s cute that he sent her a reminder like this, though. Well, he did let that slip then and there, right?

…Will I still feel you in another galaxy…?

Well, you know what they say: true love conquers everything… Even, maybe in your case, 3 million light years of distance. We might never find out.

**

Engineering – see what you can do about getting our beaming technology back online.

*Imagines it's Trip that gets that message*

I'm actually happy they sometimes took the boy out of that room. He was too cute to use only in there.

"What do you want me to do – roll over and play dead?"

You must have had fun writing that sentence. I mean, can you just imagine the Daedalus to foll around and turn off its lights?

Being in theatre = being in formation?

**

The Warriors that Todd sent with Rodney were faced Wraith? Because you had them talk? I always use 'Warriors' for the masked ones. Hmm.

So, should we assume the Queen ordered them to attack the Lanteans? Although the ones that remained with Todd didn't do so, or were they gone already? Maybe it's just a matter of being patient, because there's not been too much info on Shep's part of the fight, yet. That's for act 4, I take it.

**

It’s really worry-worthy that Hollick and Woolsey have been able to discuss that much behind Sheppard’s back. I get the distinct feeling they seek off-word missions for him to be going on, so they can do stuff to Teyla behind his back.

I mean, here he is, risquing his life in the meeting with Todd, and on meanwhile, while he said that she was not to be moved, they did it anyway, trying to sneak her off to Earth before he got back.

They drove me to this."

Is she aware she's repeaiting some of his sentences?

Yay! We're almost at discovering what that vial is all about!

**

"Michael."

Heeeeee's here! ^^

------------------

Enmity is turning into a very awesome story, and I have a feeling the 4th act is even going to be better than this one. I'm really looking forward to it.

Good job.

Yes, they did bug her quarters... very bad thing to do given the kinds of dreams she was having.... She was just flailing about in general... I don't thing we can read /too/ much into /how/ she was flailing.

I'm sure Hollick watched it a lot...

I think if Ronon discovered that anyone had tortured his 'little sister' then yeah, he'd kill them, no matter who they are...

**

Yes, that was part of the one little sentence that should make people go "awwwww"

Hopefully we won't /have/ to find out the range of their bond.

**

Being 'in theatre' so far as I can ascertain, means that they can be seen on the sensors and displayed on the HUD.

**

One of the warriors Todd sent was faced.

**

Yes, that's for act 4, but you're pretty much right about who ordered the 'hit'

**

That's exactly what Hollick and Woolsey were doing... because they know damn well that they wouldn't have gotten anywhere with Shep and the others still on Atlantis.

Somewhere in her subconscious, perhaps she /does/ realise that she's repeating some of his phrases... consciously - no.

**

LOL @ the Poltergeist reference.

**

Thank you. I hope you've enjoyed your Beta-ing... so far?

Yeah, that pervert basically spelled out they rewinded it a lot.

**

Yaaaaaaay! Part of the mission is accomplished: one word has been discovered. *claps*

No, true...

I'm curious as we'll know more on Saturday, or not... *Bites nails.*

**

Ooooh, okay.

**

I hope Shep'll succeed in making Hollick aware of his rank, as in lower than the military commander, seriously. But I don't see that happen very soon, as that means less friction in Atlantis. :-)

*Knows what that vial is about now, muahahaha*

**

Yup, I have, so far. I need to get back to it.

*Hugs*

Hi, Cedargrove!

This is fantastic! It was trully gripping. You are indeed an awesome storyteller. I know I've said this before (Or may be not...) but the story is miles above some of the claptrap SGA has been putting out lately. I always said that fanfic is better than the original!

I read the whole thing in one sitting. I find the relation between Tey'la and Michael fascinating. Also the rest of the protagonists are presented to a new depth, including the Wraith.

Keep going. Wonderful, wonderful writing. Wow.

Thanks T64... as a writer it means a lot to hear feedback from readers, and such positive feedback is always a bonus. I'll usually answer any kind, and always take it into account, you can be sure of that, but your words of encouragement are truly awesome. Thank you.
