Sadness...

At school today we had a letter from the school that Maddy, the little girl who has been taken from her parents while on vacation in Portugal, should have been going to in the new school year. They are organising a mass for her, and have sent class prayers for people to say for help and succor for the girl and for her family.

I know many of us 'pray' in different ways, working where we do that is something that is brought home to us daily. But this incident is something that is almost unbearable to think about, for the family - no matter what people might think and have said about the circumstances - and mostly for the little girl herself. So perhaps if you could spare a thought... or a prayer... or some kind of affirmation for Maddy, perhaps the Universe would answer.

I'm not sure I understand what happened. Did a little girl die on vacation? :(
