Energy Week
Oct. 3rd, 2006 12:51 amSo the school began its Energy Week today. A week of lessons devoted to environmental issues, energy saving, water conservations, global warming and climate change, that kind of thing. It was encouraging to discover how much they already knew, and what good little conservators some of them already are. :)

Date: 2006-10-04 09:29 pm (UTC)You know a newspaper thrown into the trash in the early 1900s is still just as readable now as it was back then? There are archaeologists who dig up dump sites to learn history of trash who have discovered this. They were amazed because it was supposed to decompose. Why didn't it? Because there's too much junk done away with in a way that doesn't allow it.
I was not amazed at anything other than the fact that it hadn't been used as starter fuel for someone's chimney fire.
