Revelation Act 3 - Review part 1:

Here's what I typed up during the read of Act 3:

Michael:

An insidious, creeping cold, almost painful, wrapped angry talons around her spine – infecting her body from the inside out.

New Queen’s announcement? *brr*

She tried to focus on the burnished gold of his eyes and not the rising spiral of blood from the woman's body, then… as fast as the strangeness came over her, it was gone – though the cold, burning through her remained.

Did Michael shut her down, or did she start bleeding because the Wraith were near? A faulty hybrid? Or was it because she was connected to Teyla and felt the pain that shot through her, too?

The sharp, persistent beep of the proximity sensors confirming the presence of the remedial forces that would take out the Wraith drew his attention back to the panel in front of him, and panic seized the hybrid pilot's heart.

Where there should have been two lighted channels on the materialiser readout, there shone only a single light.

That’s hilarious, really… :-) Poor guy must have felt so panicked.

The Wraith's convulsions began as Michael closed his hands around his neck. He lifted the Wraith bodily, arms straining against the jerking, twisting struggle the Wraith gave, though not against him, but against the action of the Hoffan protein now coursing destructively through his system.

Refresh my memory? She did not have it before, the Hoffan protein, but she does, now? Has he given it to her since, or is it because of something else?

This ‘immunological reaction’ she’s undergoing, she didn’t get it from Michael because she carried Nethaiye, his son, and therefore her body was already familiar with the enzyme Michael pumped in her during feeding off of her, and Gifting her? But now that another Wraith has tried to feed, this happens? A reaction against the foreign enzyme, because it’s not related to Michael’s DNA?

He again is in ‘awe’, surprised at what’s happening, but then he’s thinking darker thoughts, so he’s now worried even more. Not a good thing, this new development, I take it, for now? Or too much at once for him to handle.
For a moment I thought perhaps she’d have immunity against Wraith feeding, not because of the Hoffan protein, but because of the something that’s happening to her. But I guess that was nothing more than a thought. My mind jumps all over the place.

Malcolm thought getting his hands on Teyla would be interesting. Did he anticipate something like this, or is it just an extra? She’s already a different hybrid than the ones he’s used to seeing from way before… Hmm.

Atlantis:

– only… stretching brought her closer still – so close that she could feel his breath on the softness of her cheek.

"Carson," she whispered, turning her face to him, turning into his waiting kiss.

Funny thing: when I was reading this, mom was watching a cooking show on tv. For some reason, they decided to play ‘sexual healing’, lol. Timing is everything, they say.

Michael

Yep, new Queen announcement.

Michael didn't shut down the clone in the tank, no... She's just bleeding - she does every now and then...

Yeah, the Dart pilot was having kittens.

Refreshing your memory - Teyla has acquired the Hoffan Protein since she exchanged energies with Michael. He gave it to her as a protection - a failsafe against Wraith feeding on her.

The Immunological reaction is complicated, but at least in part is because it's not compatible with Michael's DNA, yes.

Yes, Michael is worrying about Teyla, for reason we already know about - and have been discussing. New development, good or bad um.... it's both, depending on whose point of view you're looking at.

I'm sure Malcolm still does think that getting his hands on Teyla would be interesting - don't think he stands a snowballs chance of doing that though.

Atlantis

Timing LOL Perfect!

Todd’s Hive:

How could he touch her without bringing fear? How could he – Wraith, as the one that had hurt her – hope to banish these new demons and show her what could be, and not what was – what had been – he corrected himself. There was too much at stake now to take the risk.
Ouch, that certainly put a temporary stop to his plans… no Queen, not yet.

Can we assume the Queen that hopefully Alicia would birth him fits together with those faced Wraith he had made with the odd young Queen? I mean, will they eventually be the ones serving her and her Hive?

The end scene of Act 3… he called that one away from his Hive to fight… whoa. I don’t think you’ll end up killing Todd, but still I worry for him. He shouldn’t let himself get baited like that. Agitation is not a good thing, at least not if there’s a lot in him present. A bit he can work with, but too much anger is not good either. But he’ll win, whether that means the final death of the HC or not.

Perhaps Malcolm should go help? I don’t know which one is more allowed to do the honours, Todd or the Hive Second. Though Malcolm is injured right now. Silly guy, not wanting to eat until the Queen’s un-mad? Ugh, yeah, GL with that.

White Elder Queen’s Hive:

"Traitor!" she screamed at him, and around them the doors hissed shut. "Turncoat!"

*sigh* What now?

"You protect her!" she screeched. "You heal her… you prevent her suffering as I have decreed she will!"

Her? Isla? Oh boy, what’s he done now?

Malcolm mentions one glance at/from Hanna makes him realise what’s going on. I was considering the Hive Commander and Third working together to discredit the Second?

And I wonder if she knows where her HC has gone, off to fight her ex-Scientist.

Will her insanity stop soon? She knows well enough the HC wants to get rid of Malcolm, but now she believes lies and attacks him. Truly not all there, that one.

Red Elder Queen’s Hive:

Wraith invectives flowed from his mind – Abomination he might be, but this despoiled Wraith knew exactly how to harm a Hive; how to control his enemy.

(+damn you+)

As I picture him shaking with a fist at Michael, this line is funny as well.

I’m looking forward to reading the conclusion of the fight between Todd and the HC, and then more about what’s going on with Teyla (and Keller can perhaps be mentioned in the same breath, would be funny if the same thing was happening to them, as I said before).

See you soon.

Spikey

Todd's Hive

You can assume what you like... But what makes you think there will be a Queen?

Someone will die... I promise you that.

Hmm - the Queen's unmadding with come in Act 5.

Elder Hive

Queen's a little mad with jealousy I guess... don't worry.

People are conspiring against Malcolm, yes... but they will get their come-uppance, again, I promise you.

Hanna doesn't know, no.

Will her insanity stop soon? Yes. Act 5

Red Hive

The RHC might as well have been shaking his fist at Michael for all the good it did him. LOL
