Eirian, it’s simply awesome to hear from you again! And with a nice and long chapter, too. ;-)

I decided to go for a little structure again, this time.

**

Michael/Teyla

Silly Teyla, being so confused again. One moment she begs for his attentions, the next she’s disgusted with them/herself. Let’s hope this is a symptom of what Michael found was wrong with her DNA, if I understood that correctly. Of course, perhaps he saw that she was altered enough to bare his children, or something. I don’t know if you’re ever going to do something like that, but after things have calmed down somewhat in the PG, perhaps giving her another child is an option.

Poor Michael. He must be under so much stress. The near discovery of his facilities isn’t enough yet, no, Teyla has to go into her ‘demands answers’ stance once more when there’s no time for things. I hate that she hurts him. It’s not like she has many other places she can go to, Atlantis is out of the question, as is any other place the UberQueen can sense her, so best make two separate targets into one, and stay with him. I thought she understood that, but she gets Michael in her bed once or twice, and she’s forgotten it again. As I said, silly Teyla.

The words that fall from her mouth when she argues with him, are those her own, or is she just so in turmoil because of the place she’s in? Dark laboratory which holds pods with experiments in them that whisper to her a bit? I mean, she was drawn there, right? I hope she won’t respond like that all the time. As much as I understand that it’s a difficult position for her, at one time she needs to choose, and choose well. And stick with that decision.

I’m slightly odd when I say that “Everything that I have done I did in order for you to survive!” makes me think of “Everything I do, I do it for you.”, right? He does do a good number of things with her in mind, and she knows it, but then turns it around in his face again. I don’t know how much longer Michael can handle that. As I said, she needs to choose, and stick to it, and not call out for John again when he’s around. Silly Teyla.

Atlantis

Carson asked for an expert to come check out all the DNA data he had? The thing that’s ‘nature’, that’s the part where she can possibly get impregnated by a Wraith, then? Is the new doc going to stay, or does her ‘I can’t help you’ mean her job there is completely done? And what were the IOA doing to her?

Sheppard, Sheppard, Sheppard… What are we going to do with you? You go find trouble without enough back up, and then McKay feels the need to send out a distress call that anyone can hear, therefore looking for even more trouble. Tsk tsk tsk. Will Sheppard feel consequences of his actions soon?

**

Isla

I still feel so sorry for her being pushed aside when she was only making sure she survived long enough to serve her master. They are, after all, on this journey together, and I’m sure at least part of him doesn’t want to undergo it alone?

I’m happy that Jethera is taking over from her for now. She seems like a smarter girl, totally the opposite of Hanna, which is something the Second can use. He hopefully won’t have to tolerate whimpering servants in these already trying times. I can’t believe the Queen’s still in her Zenith. Will we see more of her and if her experiments failed or not, in the next part?

Thank you so much for writing this for us, and I hope we’ll see more soon.

It's good to be talking to you again... and thanks for the work you put in, it /is/ appreciated.

Okay, on to your structured review:

Michael/Teyla

Fear and confusion does strange things to a girl... All summed up in Carson's question of a while ago, "And here you are wondering how you can love a monster like that?" It's something she's struggling with, compassion and love vs conscience. It's not an easy path she's walking. You know, it's interesting how many people have assumed that Michael has found something wrong with her DNA.

He is under a great deal of stress, yes, but that's usually when Michael is ready to come out fighting, and does his best. You're right that Teyla has nowhere else to go. I hate that she hurts him too, but you know, they bounce off each other so well... he gets angry, makes her angry, they both say things they don't really mean - but... there are events upon the horizon that will... help in the decision making process, once and for all. She will choose - or maybe she already has, and that's why it's all so hard for her right now.

**

Atlantis

Yes, poor Carson has called in expert help. The new doc will be staying, she's a pivot and an anchor, and of course seems to have some kind of 'past'

Sheppard, consequences...? I think that Sheppard is about to get a massive wake up call, don't you?

**

Isla

Isla's very complicated - life is about to get so much worse for her right now... and Malcolm's hands are tied.

Jethera is a huge massive curved ball. Watch out for the ripples from that particular pebble, but yes, she is a very smart, considered woman. Incidentally, the Queen's Zenith will continue until it is brought to an end by the service of a commander. There is much more to come concerning her, and her experiments.

**

You're welcome, it's my pleasure... I'm going to try and get some more written later today, but it's all 'conflict' right now.
