Having a Hard Time
Nov. 14th, 2009 10:10 pmRight now Apostasy's second act is kicking my arse. For some reason I'm having a tough time, and all the body language and other tensions are just making for a very slow write. I'm also having a hard time finding an appropriate 'soundtrack' to write to. Nothing I put on seems to capture the mood I'm after and help me with stuff. And now (frowns deeply) for some reason my stupid computer /just/ decided that I've reached my license limit for Sweet Home Alabama! But I haven't changed anything or put it back on again or anything. See... this is why I hate buying tracks from WM store. Grrrr.

Date: 2009-11-15 08:02 am (UTC)Did I tell you this is a fantastic story you're spinning. I have to say that I am struck by many things, and something new every time. One thing that I find so amazing and enjoyable is your description of battles--both hand to hand combat and space warfare--from several points of view and the smooth transitions. never repetious, never 'standard.' They are alive and vivid.
One thing that struck me this time, and I am so gratified you took this path--Keller's reaction to what happened. It is so real, so... human. And you are truly presenting the Wraith as... Wraith that cannot be judged by human logic and emotions. Carson is quite right: Todd is a Wraith.
Waiting for the next. :)
