"You, you sorry son-of-a-bitch," Sheppard growled, "on your knees!"

Now, why do the last three words have unpleasent implications in my mind? Hmmm.....

Tsk tsk tsk. The boys are fighting again… *Slap*

Michael snarled at him. How dare Sheppard suggest he had or would do anything to harm Teyla?

How dare he indeed suggest that you would harm her. I mean, it's not like you don't know her, and realise what's important in her life, and what would definitely hurt her… Right?

Sheppard's reaction confirmed the suspicion Michael had harboured all along, that Sheppard had feelings for Teyla; that he was a rival, and as such, the competition between them, the antagonism, and the only course of action left to Michael solidified inside of him.

Oh, wait. You don't.

Nope. Mikey just thinks of his own feud with Sheppard, instead of thinking of the consequences of him killing Sheppard for his (relationship with) Teyla. It's not like she doesn't know that John's also got a thing for her. She's known him for so long already, and she's initiated nothing. I mean, Michael should realise that Teyla is at liberty to choose whom she'll have in her bed, and that he doesn't have to off all the guys that are interested in her.

Of course, his reactions are understandable if you take into consideration what he is, what he was, where he came from. We see it in the way the HC responds to having Todd in the same room as his Queen. In what's going on when the Queen's not there to stop them. They try to fight the battle of who can jump her among themselves. Silly boys. Perhaps in a distant past Michael had also played that game with a few of the Wraiths aboard her ship, and now he's no smarter than going for the same behaviour in dealing with the people that have an eye on his Teyla. This is very, very, very dumb of him, because he's not dealing with a Wraith Queen, but with a human instead. *Slap*

Hmm, did he actually tell Sheppard that was the reason for killing him? Because he saw him as a direct rival in the conquest for Teyla's affections?

so that he could concentrate on relieving himself of the threat that Sheppard was to his place in Teyla's considerations.

*rolls eyes*

*Slap*

He can't really have been that delusional, right? Yes, yes he was. That guy is going crazy when he's alone too much. Perhaps, or hopefully, it'll be a good thing that the universe we're following's Teyla will go to him to try to pull him out of his loneliness. He needs balance, a different 'outlet', and she can provide it for him.

You know, it was actually quite *nice* for Sheppard to throw one of his knives Michael's way. The least Michael could have done was giving it back in a more proper way than shoving it in him like that.

Did Michael go to Teyla and tell him that he successfully offed his rival to her heart, and that Sheppard at the end said to tell her he loved her? I can see that conversation having gone well…

Ya know, it would have been funny if in reaction to Michael she had sworn off men for good and moved over to the other gender now. Would he kill a girl the way he killed Sheppard, too? Would he see her as a rival, or would he finally get the insanity of his own thoughts?

This would end, here and now, but he would be the one to end it. He wouldn't fail Teyla, not again.

F… f… fail Teyla? Nononono… *Shakes head*

"Face me!" he hissed, grabbing a handful of Sheppard's hair to pull him

Oh, come on, Michael, you're just jealous of all that hair… :D

He welcomed the pain of them, turned the pain inward as a reminder of all that this human had done to him; to his Teyla…

*Right*

*Shakes head again*

Hmm, how did it go in Mantle Act 4 again? Didn’t she Queen attack Teyla when Michael was fighting with Sheppard? Did he need to come to her aid? Because if he did have to do that, and he’s instead fighting with Sheppy, then she’s under mental attack right now? And he’s not helping her. She won’t be too happy with that either, perhaps.

Did Michael fly into Atlantis with a Puddle Jumper, or with a cruiser?
Edit: never mind. It's in the next chunk.

He knew that, short of a miracle or some kind of divine intervention, he and his friends were as good as dead.

*Enter divine intervention* :D

Yay! A healthy Lorne! Let's hope he'll stay that way till the end of the fic! Getting whumped in one universe is enough.

Beyond The Third - Act 2: Review Part 2

He couldn't help but worry that he was somehow flying through the galaxy in such a Hive, unrecognised... unopposed.

*Something* like that, yes… Hmm, unrecognisable?

Wow, Kanaan is there. And he's just so darn *nice*. Not. I guess this one didn't appreciate the part where Teyla loved Michael all that much, then? Cos 'our' Kanaan seemed to fully agree that's what she needed to do…

Hmm, if Beckett is alive over there, does that mean that perhaps something good will come out of this, and they'll get the serum to keep the clone alive, when they go home?

Why can't Keller be turned into a hybrid?

What did you do to them? What did you give them? The Hoffan protein…? Something even more insidious?"

What *did* he do to them? Will we find out? Is Keller just trying to warn Sheppard not to agitate him?

Hmm, that little bit of leather or what was it again, that hung behind one of the control panels, the one that Ronon noticed when they first arrived there, was it Michael's?

"Shut up!" Kanaan yelled, "I can't think with you talking at me like this; that sound… his mind…"

Lol, was Michael's mind playing with Kanaan's too, or what? Though if he can't take him over so that Kanaan would do what Teyla said, he's not really trying hard…

otherwise, why trouble himself to come all the way to the laboratory here, when he could simply have used the facilities on Atlantis, or on his ship.

Of course, Teyla wouldn't have been able to save him there, so does he do it to once more see her? Does he get a kick out of fighting her, or is he actively trying to hurt her by having Sheppard turn into a hybrid almost under her eyes, as that wouldn't be the case were he still in Atlantis?

"They shouldn't be there," he said, becoming more and more irritated with Kanaan every time the Athosian opened his mouth.

That's something I share with Ronon! *g*

This Kanaan isn't a nice one. Not one that seems to be Teyla's love interest to me. I get that she wanted to try to make him a leader, and perhaps he shows signs of it here, but meh. Doesn't fit with Teyla.

LOL @ them about having gotten Nethaiye that far that he basically gave them the keys to their cells so they could escape. Michael can't have been happy about that… Or was Kanaan being watched already?

"I knew her better than that!" Kanaan insisted. "If she wasn't coming, it was because something else was keeping her away." He looked at Lorne as he said, "I still believe that."

Was he correct in assuming that it was something different? Did Michael read her too like he did Kanaan, but she was aware of it and Kanaan wasn't? Or perhaps she saw that she was more useful in the fight against Michael, meaning it wouldn't have been smart of her if she went back in.

Hmm, Beckett walks in with a retrovirus syringe. Perhaps Teyla does not join them because at the moment Michael thinks they're not that much of a nuisance, but when Teyla's with them, he'll just have to go to them and get her away from there and back to him, or something?

Lorne felt a little better knowing that Ronon hadn't already left through the Gate with the others and simply abandoned McKay.

Yay! Kanaan is a plain human after getting a retrovirus! One of the bigger holes in SGA is 'solved' in here. He got rid of his Wraith DNA by taking the virus and he lost everything, instead of just what the writers wanted him to lose… 'He is himself completely once more' or whatever Teyla said, indicating that he only lost his extra Wraith stuff in SGA, but since when to they know what regions will be affected with such precision? What to suppress, and what to keep? Pfft. Load of cr*p it was in there…

Poor Michael gets caught at hurting her beloved Sheppard again… Oh, he's gonna get his ass partly kicked, now.

Was Michael hissing at Teyla in a general 'oh crap, not now' kind of way, or is that his general reaction to her now?

LOL @ an obviously upgraded Teyla to turn on him to kick his ass…

I kinda wonder how she was able to leave that place, though.

LOL @ Sheppard getting slaps that are meant for his dead counterpart, I assume. :D

Now, on to T/V, muahahahaha.

LOL... no Michael has no idea how to get to Teyla - not at all...

He doesn't what?

He might 'know' she has that right, but it doesn't mean he has to like it, and as you said... consider his origins, and what he's used to... and (if the AU Michael is anything the same as Original!Michael, the /Queen/ he came from). It's probably the only action you could have expected from him at that point.

He didn't tell Sheppard, no... but I don't think he needed to - they understand each other well enough, since Vengeance.

Michael? Delusional? Um... Not entirely - but he is a little... maniacle would probably be a good word to use, maybe?

Do I have to remind you that Sheppard intended to kill Michael too? He would have given him no quarter.

There's a lot in this story that will happen off camera - and whether or not Michael told Teyla that he'd killed Shep, and Shep said he loved her is, for now, going to have to be one of those things.

Michael would kill anyone he saw as a threat. Period.

fail Teyla
I'd like to remind you that nothing is written without reason...

LOL at the thought of Michael being jealous of Sheppard's hair.

All that this human had done... his Teyla
Remember this is the AU - we don't exactly know what it is that Sheppard has done with Teyla... but let's not forget that she, herself, slapped his face for /something/.

Yep, Lorne is healthy - perhaps getting whumped in one universe /is/ enough, yes.

Yes, poor Original!Mikey...

Isn't Kanaan a nice guy though - really. LOL Not. Nope, Kanaan didn't like Teyla having any kind of feelings for him at all.

Perhaps some good will come of this Beckett being alive, yes. But that's for me to know and for you to try and guess... *evil grin*

DO you want Keller turned into a hybrid?

I don't think we'll find out what happened to those people...I don't think it's all that relevant and yes, Keller was just trying to warn him not to piss Michael off.

Yes, the leather belonged to Michael.

Yes, at that point, Kanaan was being driven crazy by Michael's mind... talking to his...

Those are good questions you ask as to Michael's motivation for taking Sheppard to his lab...

Kanaan pisses you off?

Perhaps Kanaan was already being watched, yeah...

Kanaan was maybe right, but in a wrong way - and that's all I'm saying.

Yes, Kanaan is a plain human after getting the retrovirus... the retrovirus, after all, was designed to surpress the iratus, and therefore the 'Wraith' part of DNA and leave just the human behind... so of course he's plain human.

He got his ass partly kicked, yep... though it is interesting to wonder how she got out too.

Yes the slaps are for his counterpart.

You might not like what you see... *evil grin*

Amazing indeed. This parallel univer angle is the best twist so far. This can be a baffling thing to write, but you are giving that crisp and intriguiging twist and turn that makes it both maddening and fascinating.

To put it simply--I LOVE IT!

As for Todd and Alicia... What about Todd and Alicia? You are too quick to say that Todd betrayed them in obedience to the Queen. Somehow, it's not that simple, I am sure.

Believe me, it is a baffling thing to write... and remembering which fact goes with which universe is going to be a tricky thing. LOL

I'm glad you love it...

Todd and Vega - You seem to know me far too well... *evil laugh*

Now you come to mention it - you're right... on both counts. :) Mind you I've never denied a little foray into the gutter every now and then... (though I have to say that slash is /not/ my thing.)

Yay! I'm all caught up . . . and demanding more!

Finally more Michael! And getting into Michael/Teyla-ness . . . although it's in an AU and they're not together . . . Yay! **grins**

But I'm missing my Todd/Alicia! **is sad** Will they be making an appearance here? Don't know where, how, or why but I'm sure they will find a nice little cozy spot for them in this AU. **grins**

And also: Nethaiye/Keller=creepy **shudders** That's one ship I'm not jumping on. Not touching it with a ten foot pole. No way!

And do you want to know how good of a writer you are? Days ago I started to pull out my Atlantis DVDs to watch a few episodes and was shocked to remember that the episodes I wanted to watch were only written by you and weren't actually real episodes. **headdesk** See? I've already replaced the real 5th season with yours.

SASUSC!!!!!!!!!

I'm glad you're all caught up... I've been thinking about you, often. Did you see the post I left you on your LJ yet? About Isis?

Yes, Michael and Teylaness... but don't worry, there will be Todd/Alicia in the AU... not necessarily cozy, but...

So, you're not into the Nethaiye/Keller ship then? LOL Nope, I don't think many people are - and... well, you'll see when act 3 posts...

You are far too kind... honestly, I just write what I think /should/ have been. But I'm flattered, really I am. :)

Hopefully you'll get things sorted now, and will be around as a more 'permanent fixture' *hug*

He doesn't give a damn about how she would feel, about what's important to *her* and it possibly being different from what he thinks she needs.

LOL at the boys understanding each other.

I'm sure Sheppard wouldn't have killed Michael because Michael was smart enough not to let himm, if he didn't intend to kill Sheppard too.

Well, there's 'off camera' and then deciding to have it 'on camera'. *g*

Anyone except for himself. Gotcha.

Something that still has to pop up?

Hopefully, for Lorne, yes. :)

///Some Act 3 stuff is in here///

-> for people who haven't read yet... Beware.

When are we going to give Original!Mikey some luffing? :P

That 'some good to do with this Beckett' still has to pop up too, right? Let's hope they can take some stuff home with them, a cure of some kind. Not that Lorne's gonna get his cure, but perhaps something to do with the Hoffan protein?

Did I want it? Hmm, not necessarily. I've always been of the opinion that Michael didn't make female hybrids because of that they are in his society, a symbol of power, rulers, and he absolutely wishes to rule. Not for that long then, if he didn't make females, unless he keeps on cloning... Stupid we never found out in TLM because Sheppard was too much a baby to go outside.

So he partly stripped? *g*

Michael planned to lose him to draw Todd out, is my theory, if you don't know yet.

Kanaan = idiot, plain and simple. Teyla's worst mistake, lol. Unless his Wraith DNA makes him somewhat more pleasant. *g*

They forgot that in SGA.

You already said she used her nails. *g* I would have wanted to be a fly on that wall, when they were 'fighting'. Poor Michael must think of it as foreplay, if he really thinks he's gonna have her one day?

Why wouldn't I like T/V? It was good so far!
