SNOW DAY!

I shouldn't be so gleeful really, the country's in a mess - roads impassable, busses cancelled, trains not running, all the major airports runways closed... and this is when we were /expecting/ the snow... we have more forecast for the rest of the week, so who knows what chaos that will cause.

The road outside my house is a sheet of ice, made of the compacted snow, and currently is completely blocked by traffic trying to get down it to the main road at the end. Myself, I texted the Assistant-Head teacher this morning to find out if we were open. She didn't answer me within 20 minutes or so, so I set off, assuming school was open. I got only as far as round the corner from my house, got stuck in traffic, and received her text back as I was waiting to go up the hill... school closed. So I reversed to the corner of my road, and went back home.

So here I sit, catching up on Email and after that, I'm going to be writing for a while... after that - we'll see.

I will, I am... and since we're supposed to have another 4" tonight, I may well have another one tomorrow. :)
