Today

I came home from work, after what had been a difficult day, and was lucky enough to be able to listen with Mir to everything on TV... the speeches, the talking, the descriptions of everything going on... and of course with Charlie, Diane and Robin.

I was very moved. I thought I would be, but not quite so much. I felt the glimerings of hope stirring, which grew to hope itself.

It's a good thing I normally don't wear eye makeup--otherwise, my face would've been a mess when I watched the inauguration.

I knew I wasn't the only one in tears, but you from hear so many people who feel the same way and you still can't really believe it.

The sun came out today at my house, in more than just the literal sense.

I was the same and I was just listening to it. Will be watching it with the kids I teach though. That should be something.

Listening with you yesterday was just a joy. Seeing some of the faces on the BBC's recording of it... was really quite amazing, and as my kids said, 'look at all the /people/.'

Yeah... more people than ever recorded for something like that... And a /bunch/ didn't even make it.
