Because I've not done this in a while

...because I'm trying to turn over an old leaf... because there's just so much I've wanted to do here and I keep not doing it, I made myself sit down and jump in with both feet.
I've said before, being a teacher who's also a writer is a tough thing, because when you're not prepping for lessons, you're making, and when you're not marking, you're prepping and... it all goes around in nice wide circle. But I miss writing... and all those months ago, when the calendar turned over and everyone, me included, sat down and tried to figure out what would make life more interesting, more bearable, more... whatever, one of the things I said I wanted to do was to get back into writing again. My goal was a little something /every/ day, even if that was only a scene, a couple of lines... just so long as there was something.
I'll admit - I was not particularly very good with keeping up with that - unless you actually count the writing I do at work in literacy lessons, in which case, my 'resolution' remains intact. But lately feeling most unsatisfied with my 'performance' in respect of that, I decided that, if sometimes you just can't stop, then it's time to apply the breaks and make time. How did I do this? By taking a working lunch.
I get an hour for lunch, though it's rarely uninterrupted by my children who need something, or who have crossed lines or whatever... but until a now, I used to spend the time just sitting in the staff lounge doing 'nothing.' So okay, it wasn't exactly rocket science to figure out that if I actually worked through lunch, either marking or prep, it would give me more time at home - a spot of time I could take up with writing and reading, which was the other thing I wanted more of in my daily life.
Well, so far, so good. I've only done this a couple of days, Friday and today as a matter of fact. Some days maybe I'll actually write at lunchtime, if the muse takes me, but mostly I think it'll just be the school work that I used to bring home - so now I'm home, I should have time... and that's a good thing, because my pesky muse has just hit me over the head with a /big/ rock.
So for anyone who's interested, here's the list of current projects. I think maybe I'm just a little bit crazy. Specific update on each 'project' (lets call them projects) will be in separate posts, with their own banners and stuff.
