Spiritual Underworld

Like each of us, I struggle with both: to be the keeper of secrets or the discoverer of truths. Though no one can tell us how, we have to work this great battle again and again: To leave the underworld - not to harden - and to make our way back into the land of the living.
It is so easy to harden... to become cynical and to lose faith in everything and everyone around you. With so much going on in the world that shows mans' inhumanity to man - in times like this, following disasters, we might sit up and take notice of the fact of our common heritate, the common light that sparks at the centre of our souls, but at other times we each withdraw into our own little shells of 'I'm all right jack' It's a saddening thing for us to do - by inaction (either actual or spiritual) to allow injustice and cruelty to be visited up our fellow travellers in this universe.
I'm reminded of it all today... strongly so, because all day long I have had telephone calls from so many charities, each wanting me to 'help.' If I could, I'd save the world... I can do my bit with 'prayer' and invocation, and I do, but right now that is the best I have that I can possibly offer.
And I give it freely...

Or more specifically by the comment made by someone on after having seen it, they said: "If humans were like this, the world would be a better place."
There is a great battle raging:
