Even People Who Don't Like Rats...

Today I took a picture of Flash to school and showed him to the TAs and others whom I work with. Universally the comments were that he was cute... even from Teresa, who doesn't like rats. Of course my children have seen pictures of /all/ of the rats and love them to bits.

One of the boys also commented on the picture of Sekhem, and asked if he was crazy, since the boy in question has a similarly coloured cat whom he says is bonkers. We had an interesting few minutes talking about pets.

Let's see... he keeps trying to sh_g his girl - they've already had one litter, I guess he wants to be a daddy again. When he's not trying to make babies with her, he's knocking her into the middle of next week. He's a real gangster. And when he's not doing either of those things, he's trying to run into the back room and hide in the closet. Does he care that he has to avoid the cat along the way? Hell no!
