We wouldn't normally post something 'overly or obviously religious' but this seems to be exempt because it's such a universal principle, even if the quote is from the Bible (and because it's a quote from Paul's letters to the Corinthians, we're even more surprised we like it). But we were given the school's behaviour policy in the staff meeting today, and on the cover was the following quote...

Love is patient, and kind, without envy. It is not boastful or arrogant. It is not ill-mannered nor does it seek its own interest. Love overcomes anger and forgets offences. It does not take delight in wrong, but rejoices in truth. Love excuses everything, believes all things, endures all things.

...We're missing people terribly right now. Maybe that's why it struck us so much and why we were moved by it. Dunno... only know that it was something that moved us today.

Bible or not, you epitomize these principles, m'dear.

It's too bad it seems like many people would rather receive such love than feel it.

As someone who lives this way, you'll have to tell me the trick to others views of that not changing. I've been thinking of things like that quote a lot recently and wondering where outwardly a person can go wrong when inwardly that ideal hasn't changed.

I don't know. I wish I did... and could tell you. My own thoughts have been on things like this too... so when it came up, and was there... it made me think even more...
