A Little Bit of Fun

cedar_groveDoing this and I suddenly had a strange idea - what if you used this method to generate the plot of a story - could produce some 'interesting' reults. Anyway, here it is, under the cut...
Step 1: Put your MP3 player or whatever on random.
Step 2: Post the first line from the first 25 songs that play, no matter how embarrassing.
Step 3: Strike out the songs when someone guesses correctly.

2. There's a green hill far away in a land I know so well and the sun it shone so bright in the field where once we did lay.
3. Distaw naur yr dwndwr neithiew, distaw.
4. Met and old man, Miller his name, met him on a dusty road.
5. Some say the heart is just like a wheel, when you bend it you can't mend it.
6. Remember, i will still be here as long as you hold me in your memory.
7. (phonetically as best as possible) We 'anaa bu'min be-mamlakt il-jannaa
8. (also phonetically as best as possible) Jai tamalah saran na voy taravan sha hor na hoy
9. Forty years the wilderness fed my sad children. 10. It's always in the back of your mind.

12. I'm afraid it's been too long; try to find the reasons why I let my world close in around a smaller patch of fading sky.

I personally think some of those are obvious, and - being on my playlist - some are rather obsure. I missed out the instrumental stuff that came up of course... about 8 tracks in 25, which wasn't too bad. Just because I'm perverse, and I'm interested to see how it would work out, I might do one with the /last/ line of each track. Might be harder for people to guess too. Watch this space.
