Nemesis (formerly Prophesy of Angels)

So... I've hit the middle(ish) of the novel as it stands while it's being compiled, (which probably makes it the second draft, but I'm going to call it the first, since it's still not finished). And the word count is a little over 61,000 words. I knew it was going to run long, but this is something. I'm going to have to something... fear one of the sub-plots will have to go.

It's really proving to be a challenge... and I hope will all of this work it will eventually be something that reads well. It's hard not to get a little worried about that when it is as it is right now, in various states of... undress, as it were.

I still think the story is an amazing one - which is a positive thing I guess. I'm starting to wonder if I'm actually starting in the wrong place. If Nemesis begins in a different place and what I've been doing here is the one before Nemesis, (Earthbound), but then who starts a trilogy in the middle - because it really is Nemesis I want out first.

Grrr... all these questions.

It sounds like you've really got something going, and I know how hard it is to drop subplots ... (I'm thinking there's a few things in Crossing the Gate that are going to have to go.)

it was just so beautiful. Looking at it was like walking through a dream, like if I reached through the fog, I could grab the images, and I wanted to reach.
