Inspiration.

For a long time, inspiration has been hard to come by - oh, not for what to write, for the plot bunnies just keep biting no matter the lack of desire to pet them, and feed them and keep them in a cage after midnight... just the inspiration to actually sit down and write.

Just recently, though the desire has returned, the inspiration has been lacking... the creativity in a state of depression which needed more than virtual Prozac to give it a leg up.

Then fickle as the Muse is... with the last two shorts I've done (and I do mean shorts), the inspiration that was lacking has swooped in, in one fell swoop at the eleventh hour, (use of clichés deliberate there), and what's come out of that inspiration has been a couple of pieces I've been very pleased with.

May the ever fickle Muse smile upon you, (especially if you're caught in Nano-fever!).
