Give a Child a Label...
Nov. 2nd, 2010 10:03 pmI'm sorry (this is a rant btw), but labelling a child with a set of four letter is /not/ an excuse to expect him (or her) to behave poorly, inappropriately, or just plain badly!
"He can't help himself."
FINE! Then /help/ him to help himself! Nurture him like you're /meant/ to be doing - that's you're job right? Don't let him come back into the classroom screaming like an f'ing banshee and then proceed to continue a conversation with another of said labelled children at the top of his lungs when all the other children are trying to listen to a story.
Otherwise, my day with the five year olds was tremendous. I'd forgotten how much fun, and how sweet the little ones could be sometimes!
