Yah, so here we go again. You know the drill... Tired, and all of that. :P Okay, since I read during the day too, that's really not always a good excuse. Though that's what I'll plead for the end of it. :-)

---

"Then there's only one thing we can do," Sheppard said, "because I doubt there's a way to catch up to him before his ship finishes its regeneration."

Phew. It’s good they gave up on that plan to chase Michael. Not that the next one is any better because of course those cruisers are going to make it by the time Atlantis arrives on the scene.

**

Perhaps he should step in and suggest the woman to the Queen as a possible candidate,…

On the one hand, yes, because that means she’s gone, finally, but on the other… Do you really want to stand on her, in her, for life? Ew.

But we should try to focus on the part where she’d be *gone*.

Oh, perhaps she should make *two* ships, Merihanna being one, forever to fly next to her Commander, who’s the other… Ugh.

Perhaps his best recourse would be to lure her to his quarters, and once he had her there, to feed on her until she was nothing more than dust.

See? I do really love him. And while that’s a really neat solution, again, do you really want to have ‘slut’ in you, coursing through you? Though for a Wraith it matters not where the life force comes from, it’s still the principle for us.

**

"Please, Teyla, do not fight me in this one thing. Rest."

Because he knows she’ll fight him in everything else that’s coming their way. Well, hopefully not everything, but some things nonetheless. :-D

Hah! I knew Teyla would be given the Queen’s Quarters. Was there ever any doubt, really? :-)

**

"Because of what I saw… when she was here before," he admitted softly, though explaining nothing.

Whatever it is he saw, because of course the hybrid’s going to get interrupted and will tell him mentally, so we can’t see, do we already know what he’s seen? I mean, was it in the scenes of what we’ve read so far? Is it something with her mental ability? The extend of her hybrid-ness?

**

Ha! I knew Isla wasn’t dead! Ew, stuck on a ship that won’t open with injured Wraith nearby. Get out of there, fast. I wonder if she’s far away from her Second. If they were shot down during the battle, they could have landed on a piece of ground far from the others. Not so good. But she’ll get home. She has to.

**

"I insist," his tone was unyielding. "Sit."

She didn't,…

Duh.

Yes… Very intelligent, I know. But it really was a ‘duh’ moment. *grin*

"I told you never to attempt contact with her," he snarled fiercely. "She could have killed you!"

Time bomb Mikey is so cute… really. Not. Relax, Michael, she’s sitting right in front of you, alive and well-ish, and whatever she wanted to mention about the Queen, she has survived it.

*shakes head*

Teyla had better know what she’s getting herself into. It’s a good thing that she can sense his feelings so well, although he sometimes wishes she didn’t. It’s really better she does. o_0

"And in her mind I saw—"

"Forget what you thought you saw," he ordered harshly.

"But she—"

"No! It is irrelevant."

I really, really, really hate to miss the obvious, so I hope I didn’t, so I’ll only ask if this is perhaps flashback material down the road?

Unless it has something to do with what she took of him? But no, I think Teyla meant to say something completely different than the discussion about the Elder Queen they’re now having.

"If there is anything you require you have only to ask it of one of my men."

So, *any* need she has will be satisfied by one of ‘his men’? Great… *cough*

Yeah, it's not going to be pretty when everyone all gets together in one place...

**

Yeah, see - Malcolm just can't win where getting rid of Hanna is concerned. Maybe he should let someone else do it for him.

**

Because they /always/ fight with one another I'm sure he was anticipating a fight.

**

Yeah, can't have you finding out too much all at once. It's something to do with her abilities and hybridness, yes.

**

I wouldn't be so mean as to kill Isla, no, but... she is in a bad place right now, yes.

**

Time bomb Mikey. LOL Yeah he does get worked up, and for good reason. The future holds an encounter between EQ and T that will most definitely /not/ be a fun day at the beach.

Flashback material, hmmm... there's plenty of that floating around.

ANY need /except/ that one. If any of them touch her, they're as good as dead - or experiment fodder at the very least.

His head tilted in thought, reaching along the bond, strengthened now not only by the child, but by the Gift they had shared… as Queen and her Commander – almost.

Does that mean you feel that a bond between a male and female Wraith gets strengthened by having their offspring (commanders?) aboard their Hive?

Teyla's mind stirred, and curious, he reached out again, still at rest, but she was dreaming, dreaming of her child…

Bummer that Teyla never met the AU’s version of Nethaiye. I mean, picture her dreaming of her adult son that was snarling at her because he hated her that much. What would Michael think of that?

Because she never met him, not that I can remember, is her dream-Nethaiye the real one? Did she know what his eyes looked like? Perhaps that’s not a thing they ever mentioned to her, it took them long enough to say to her the baby had a chunk of Michael’s DNA in his, so they would definitely have not thought her able to carry that kind of weight on top of everything else.

Michael realised that Teyla had not yet asked after the child.

I wonder if Teyla’s ever going to try to have him acknowledge Nethaiye as ‘our child’ instead of the more distant ‘the child’. It’s probably not the Wraith way to think of their offspring as ‘theirs’, but just another one that will serve the Hive, but with Teyla being who she is, perhaps she’ll try to get him to say it. Though I get that him thinking like that means it’s another weakness gained for him. That’s what the dangerous potential for too much change… is partially about, right?

before he began to administer the necessary serum to begin the next stage of the experiment.

He’s going to give her serums? Great… o_0

At one point, my mind actually wondered if Michael plans on putting the Queen in a pod, and his mutineer hybrid in the other… To see if it’s possible to create more of his people like that. I mean, he can’t have only one Hive forever, right? He needs a bigger fleet.

**

He looked up, and saw that the Queen was poised, barely a breath away from Isla. She hissed softly, her razor sharp fingertips running down the length of Isla's body.

::one day… I will call you to serve me and at that time… at that time…::

Understanding dawned in Malcolm and he gasped audibly as if she had taken a knife to his gut; eviscerated him where he stood.

Is that jealousy in there, a bit?

Why do I have a feeling that, when Isla is called to serve her, she’s not going to live long? I mean, I’m seeing ‘The Isla’, or her ending up as food, because of the possible jealousy? Malcolm hurts because of her plans, so it can’t be good… :-(

**

"Certainly if there's anything you can find concerning our personnel… or former personnel,"

Meaning Teyla, but not Alicia?

If Alicia had still been on that Hive, and had seen some Lanteans, had heard that they were coming to free Michael, the one who had put her there, instead of her, that must have hurt…

I suppose it might mean that, but... between those that have shared the gift of life there must be a certain bond.

Michael would probably be horrified by that.

Her dream Nethaiye is just an ordinary child, but it's the feeling that makes Michael know she's dreaming of her child, I guess is the best way to explain it.

She might try to get him to do that yes. It would be a big step wouldn't it? BUt yeah, too much potential for change, most definitely, but sometimes you just can't help stuff that happens.

The Queen, not Teyla - not yet anyway. *evil grin*

He might plan of doing something like that if he had reason to... Like you say, he does need more Hybrids.

**

Maybe a little jealousy, but not much...

No, her plan is not that good - not for Isla anyway.

Meaning Teyla, yes... and yes Alicia probably would have been hurt, so I guess it's a good job she's not there.

…subsuming his mind in the fathomless need and palpable epiphany of a solace… denied.

Michael… Odd guy. I mean, does he really expect Teyla to throw her baby over her shoulder after he gives it to her, send him flying to god knows where, so she can run over to him and hug him, or something?

**

…and, inside his reach, slapped him so hard that the palm of her hand numbed from it.

He growled in response as he turned his gaze back to hers. "I told you never to strike me again."

*clap* Oh, you go, girl! *clap*

Hmm, is that going to be the /last/ time she does that? Me don’t think so. :-)

-jealousy that never left… knowing you in the arms of another-

He’s actually broadcasting that to her? On the one hand, I’m wondering why she didn’t freeze at that, but on the other, I get that they’re just fighting out their frustrations with each other. You can almost smell the upcoming result of that. *grin*

And, Michael… You totally did that to yourself. Sending Kanaan to her.

Advancing he retaliated, aiming to take her down; to end the madness with a blow to the side of her neck,…

Michael, dude, what then? Knocking her out cold isn’t the answer to this. o_0

She can already throw so much of what you’ve done back at you, so much that it’ll be very difficult to ever talk it out, but doing that too… Not what you need right now.

…why, Michael… why? you knew…you must have…

Does that mean he now knows, or isn’t he paying attention? I do hope he’s not going to find that out like this…

He caught her wrist, and pushing hard, drove her back once more against the bulkhead, using his body to pin her in place, breathing hard as he looked into her eyes, his right hand pressed against her chest, the fingers of his left grazing her wrist as he slowly passed the touch across her palm to entwine their fingers.

Ya know, Michael can always come and press me against a wall. *cough*

In fact, mind, or is that brain, if you ever want to dream about this, please do. *cough*

Hopeful, ain’t he, that ex-sucker? I mean, pressing her against that bulkhead again, entwining their fingers, holding her there just like before. *cough*

Mantle – Act 3:
She lashed out suddenly. Easily he caught her wrist and pressed her against the wall, stepping forward to do so with the whole of him. His fingers grazed her wrist, and then passed over her palm to entwine with hers; hold her in place as he pushed his right hand against her chest.

Yes, just like before… *cough*

Mantle – Act 1:
"There are two possibilities from this point," he told her, capturing her eyes with his as he tilted his head, continuing in a whisper, "What are we…to do?"

A pity he didn’t have to repeat that, together with the “Surrender.”-line. But I guess Teyla understood the picture quite well without the reminders. :-)

*chuckles* No, but... It's hard to explain... Actually your icon says it best. It burns.

**

You're happy that Teyla slapped him? Yeah, she probably will again.

He's broadcasting but she's too angry to listen... and yes, you could almost smell the results of all those years of tension. Neither of them are really paying attention to anything other than the physical right around then...

Again with the 'get in line girl' comment.

And yes, you spotted the Mantle references... did you spot the other I wonder.

it was information better given to his Matron, than to this lowly Queen.

Just a question, but this, perhaps together seen with the possibility of the Matron summoning Isla back to her… Are Malcolm and his Matron still in regular contact? Meaning, do they have their own ways of communicating over such a large distance? Perhaps even just by bond link?

**

"Jennifer," he began, "Perhaps you really ought to see someone… talk to someone."

"I'm talking to you, aren't I?"

Lol, the day that /anyone/ from the Atlantis Expedition voluntarily goes up to see old Varny, is the day that hell freezes over. Or so it feels, anyway. *grin*

**

She gasped, pushing against his unyielding strength,…

Well… His sucking some life out of her was lunch, his giving back some life to her was dinner, and now he’s ready for desert.

Lucky for him, so are we. In fact, we’re nearly overdone.

Her free hand, her fingers, found his hair; wound into its short strands

Gah, who cut his hair already? She didn’t do it, did she?

He was so lost in her that the trembling in his arms, that supported the two of them against the wall, did not register until they faltered, and the two of them tumbled, gracelessly, to the floor.

A part of me is going ‘hi hi hi’ for them falling, while another one says ‘ouch’. Lol.

And I *knew* it was going to be the wall first. Heh. And then barely making it to the bed. *grin*

until caressing the globes of her breasts; teasing her nipples between questing fingers became his only thought amid maddening sensation.

In a way it’s kind of odd hearing that this is Michael’s only thought of the moment, as he’s always so busy with his mind. Lol.

He shattered with her and she felt the waves of him washing deep within, as their mutual ecstasy broke over them, and drowning, both breathless, he sank onto her, and she into the security of his arms.

Hmm, okay. So, like a day or two ago, I suddenly remembered this picture I was sent by e-mail once, you know, a funny one. As it was stored in Outlook, and I had to format my pc, I unfortunately lost the piccy. I tried Googling for it, but it came up with all other kinds of stuff, not my desired picture. Today, the final day of the Act 2 reading, I tried again. And bam! Someone had it on their PB account. Meaning now I have it as well. *grin*

I do not know if this sudden urge to find it again was born from your final sentence or not. I don’t know what you wish to pretend: ’Sure, why not’, or ’heck no’. *grin* In any case, it’s a funny picture. Or at least I think so. The subjects in general is something that I find very beautiful, as do you, I can only assume from some of your posts, so if you don’t in any way want to have it connected to your last sentence, then it doesn’t necessarily have to be. Just think I shared it with you through some other way, or something… :P

Now, you remember that *I* found this funny, right? So consider yourself warned, because I’m easily entertained or something…

Here we go (that is if I linked it correctly): The Piccy (http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a172/Wendy_the_Bloody/ThePicture.jpg).

Now, Michael had better NOT be one of those! *mutters*

Done. ^^

Malcolm and the Matron do keep in touch, yes.

**

Yeah, no one wants to talk to Varnerin. - might be a mistake that.

**

Nearly overdone indeed... you only had to wait... what... a yeah? Michael and Teyla were waiting two, two and a half?

Yeah, he cut his own hair.

I'm sure neither of them noticed falling, and of /course/ it was against the wall first... only the bed last.

I'm gonna have to change the rating on this post. LOL

Oh, my goodness the picture is hillariou - um... watch for flashies to tell you if he is or isn't one of those...
